Faye Valentine - Cowboy Bebop
Made early 2010 for Christchurch Armageddon, worn incomplete! I was a faye in chucks, with no stockings. I forget those bloody stockings every damn time! So - construction! The shorts and top are not vinyl, as I probably should have used, but spandex - which is much less shiny than I was going for, sadly. They are both fully lined in white swimsuit lining, and bound with black lycra. The straps are wide black elastic, and the blue buttons are sculpey on brooch pins. The top I have a few issues with - it doesn't sit where it should, and keeps wanting to ride up! Grr! Shirt is a simple button-down size humungous shirt, made from a 2$ pattern I got at a garage sale. Yay garage sales! The wig I got from TaoBao, and I love it - but, it's not the most accurate wig in the world sadly. Boots were bought, painted white, and the cuffs are, at the time of writing, not attached...I ran out of time, story of my life! Okay, so I appear to be a mutant amongst cosplayers in that I cannot STAND having my photo taken. I am a photographer - I take photos of OTHER PEOPLE. I love having nice photos of myself, but I have such a stick up my bum most of the time I always look retarded. Anyway. Photos are from a studio shoot I organised in Auckland in July, and again, I forgot the damn stockings! The boots were unfinished too...I did a bit of sneaky shooping to make them look a bit less shit. Yep.
